I stopped reading Walden. The book was just painful to get through. Despite popular belief, it's not about Thoreau's minimalist life by a lake. It's about his random opinionated tangents, and I couldn't take it anymore. Instead, I read Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief. It was GREAT! So fun, so creative-it's a quick read and a fun mix of Greek mythology and modern-day life. There's lots of twists and turns, right up to the last page. I'm excited to read the rest in the series and see the movie now. Has anyone read it or seen it? What did you think?
