Last week I was able to go to Anaheim for work. On the flight, I read
A Wrinkle in Time. It's a classic and won the Newbery Medal in 1963. I've wanted to read for a long time, and I really enjoyed it. You don't get books that teach good morals anymore, but this even talked of God and Christ. It was great. Have you read it? I just learned it's part of a series. Are the others as good?
I thought it was pretty weird... and definitely a kid's book. But, I did LOVE the blatant religiosity of it as well. It ended so abruptly, I wonder if the others in the series explain better what happened after they got back!?
ReplyDeleteJulie, Madeline L'Engle is one of my favorite writers. I love A Wrinkle in Time. The rest of the series is pretty good too. You should also look into the Austin family series she wrote, also YA fiction. The two series overlap a little bit, but I think they're all great.
