Becoming a Reader: Princess Academy
I stayed up past midnight to finish this book. I'm no night owl, so trust me, it's good! (The fact that it's a New York Times Bestseller and Newbery Award winner doesn't hurt either). I'm officially a Shannon Hale fan. It's a fun coming-of-age story with lessons along the way about the importance of education, reading, and even healthy relationships. It has a strong female lead, (and who doesn't like that?) as well as some great twists at the end that brought it together just perfectly! I definitely recommend. Has anyone else read it? What did you think?

I listened to this book on cd, does that count? I loved it, along with all of Shannon Hales books.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because I stayed up last night to finish Enna Burning, another Shannon Hale book. :) Have you read Goose Girl? I actually liked that one quite a bit better than Princess Academy so if you haven't picked it u you should.
ReplyDeleteLove that book! Yes, definitely read the Goose Girl series. :)
ReplyDeleteJulie, I like Shannon Hale quite a bit as well. Read Book of a Thousand Days next if you haven't already. That one might be my favorite.
