Now, about this book, I liked it...it was interesting...I just didn't love it. I like that Razo grows up and discovers his talents and such, and the 'Who can you trust?' element is always fun. It wasn't as good as Goose Girl and Enna Burning. I read the whole thing in a day, so it was definitely interesting, but I just liked the others better. I'll be starting the last in the series, Forest Born now and am hoping for a great finish. What did you think of River Secrets? What are you reading, and what recommendations do you have for me?

For a serious read, go with The Chosen by Chaim Potok. For a FABULOUS book, read "I, Juan de Pareja," by Trevino. For a hilarious book, try "Cheaper by the Dozen." For more ideas, let me know - I am a Newbery addict and have many, many books to recommend!
ReplyDeleteHaha and don't you love how there was really no snowstorm? It was a snow day without the terror of a blizzard! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to read the Goose Girl, but just never got around to it...is it worth squishing between my studies?
