Becoming Older

Birthday weekend was awesome.

- Saw Hunger Games
- Ate delicious food
- Hung out with great people
- Opened presents

Life is good.

Becoming My Mother

When I was young, I couldn't understand:

1. Why we had to vacuum (It felt completely pointless).

2. Why we had to change our sheets every week.

But my mom insisted, and now

1. I can't believe how much better the floor looks after it has had a nice cleaning.

2. I am amazed at how great clean sheets feel.

Becoming My Mother: Act-Alike

1. My family took us to the Oregon Coast a few months ago.  We had a blast.  The day before we left, I washed the sheets and was putting them back on the bed, so we would have fresh sheets when we got home.  I called my mom when I was putting them on, and she was doing the SAME THING for the SAME REASON.  Weird.
 
2. Landon Paul and I moved into a new apartment a few months ago.  When my mom came to visit, she just laughed.  When they were first married, their apartment was the exact same layout as ours.  Really weird.

3. I told my mom that I was redoing our kitchen and the new colors will be orange and green.  She said their first kitchen had the same color scheme.  Really really weird.

Becoming My Mother: Look-Alike

Landon Paul and I went to my hometown to visit my family last weekend.  We went bowling, ate out, ate in, played games, watched movies, giggled like little girls.  It was a blast.  I always hate to leave.  Being home always gives people the opportunity to tell my mom and I how much we look alike.  Is it true?  What say you?

Note: My mom has a much thinner face than I do.  She tells me she used to have chipmunk cheeks like mine which gives me great hope that SOMEDAY they'll calm down. :)
